Indoor service robotics

A service robot built to be relied on.

Origin moves through hotels, offices and hospitals and takes on everyday tasks like delivery, patrol and cleaning. It is now close to its first release.

Use cases

Built for buildings with people in them.

Origin is designed for indoor spaces where safety and dependability matter more than a long feature list.

01

Hotels

Deliver items to rooms and floors so staff can spend their time with guests.

02

Offices

Carry items around the building and patrol after hours.

03

Hospitals

Move supplies through busy corridors without adding to the crowd.

Platform

One robot. Many jobs.

Origin base platformNavigation, sensing, safety and power
  • The base is the product.Customers rent or buy the base, then add only the task modules they need.
  • New jobs, same robot.A hotel can start with delivery and a hospital with patrol, on the same platform.
  • Simple to adopt. No complicated plans. One robot, plus the modules you need.
The robot

Meet Origin.

A humanoid-style mobile manipulator: a wheeled base that navigates on its own, with a torso, a head and two arms on top.

Safety and sensing

It sees what the lidar can't.

  • Lidar maps the room.A 360° lidar handles mapping and localisation.
  • A depth camera looks ahead. It adds forward vision and motion sensing.
  • Nine sensors watch the floor level.A ring of short-range sensors covers the low gaps around the base, where wheelchair footplates and trolley wheels sit.
  • Odometry you can trust.Wheel encoders track movement independently of the motor controllers.
Journey

Close to our first release.

Built

The robot itself

Base, torso, head and arms designed, printed and assembled in-house.

Now

Bringing it to life

Bringing power, sensing and navigation together on the onboard computer.

Next

A working MVP

A robot we can demonstrate doing real tasks in real buildings.

How we build

Three rules we don't bend.

Reliable first

Origin should be known for working every day, not for a demo. Core capabilities are finished before new ones are added.

Priced to compete

Origin is designed to stand next to the best service robots in the world on capability and cost.

Built properly

Professional-grade wiring and parts wherever reliability is on the line. No shortcuts.
